Vigor router can act as a DHCP Relay Agent once the DHCP Server is not on the local LAN( e.g. remote VPN network, WAN site). Therefore, router will forward the DHCP requests to the DHCP server. To be a DHCP Relay Agent when the DHCP Server is located on the VPN network site. Following steps will be necessary.
In this example, Vigor Router A(192.168.10.1) acts as a relay agent and forwards the DHCP requests to the DHCP server(192.168.20.100) in the remote VPN network.
1. On both routers, go to VPN and Remote Access >> LAN-to-LAN to set up a VPN connection.
2. On Vigor Router A, go to LAN >> General Setup, select Enable Relay Agent, and enter the IP address of the DHCP server located at the remote VPN site.
With the configuration above, the router will forward the DHCP requests to the DHCP server over the VPN.

1 Go to VPN and Remote Access >> VPN Profiles, select the VPN profile connecting to the DHCP server. Select "Enable" for Multicast via VPN in the Advanced page.
2. Go to LAN >> General Setup, select the LAN profile that should get IP addresses from the remote server then click Edit. Select "Disable" for DHCP Server and Apply.
3. Go to the DHCP Relay page, select the LAN profile then click Edit.
With the configuration above, the router will forward the DHCP requests over the VPN.DHCP Relay over VPN.
